The V&A East Storehouse at Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a groundbreaking new facility opened in 2024, designed to transform traditional museum storage.

Built to house 250,000 objects, 350,000 books, and 1,000 archives, the centre features innovative design with a public collection hall showcasing rare and significant items like Wright’s office and historic ceilings.

The building includes spaces for pop-up displays, workshops, and events, plus a viewing gallery for large textiles and stage sets. The construction is part of the East Bank development, transforming the site into a hub of culture, education, and creativity.
