We are incredibly proud of our colleague Natalie, who crossed the finish line at the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026, running on behalf of ORSA in support of The Fire Fighters Charity.
Completing the 13.1-mile course through the heart of London is no small feat on its own. But Natalie's journey to the start line made this achievement all the more remarkable.
Overcoming Adversity
Back in January, Natalie suffered a stress fracture in her shin. For nine weeks she was unable to train or even walk properly, a setback that was as mentally challenging as it was physical, especially after committing to represent ORSA at the event. She was advised to defer her place. She chose not to.
"I didn't want to let anyone down," Natalie said. Despite significantly reduced preparation time and lingering uncertainty about whether she could make it to the finish, she laced up her trainers and took on the challenge regardless.
A Finish to be Proud of
Natalie completed the half marathon in 2 hours and 37 minutes, a time that exceeded her own expectations given everything she had been through in the months leading up to the race.
"I can barely walk today and the pain really is something else," she shared the morning after. "But it was absolutely worth it."
Along the route, Natalie was also inspired by a fellow runner who completed the entire race in full firefighter kit, a powerful reminder of the dedication and sacrifice behind the cause.

Making a Real Difference
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated, Natalie's fundraising effort contributed to an incredible collective total of over £8,000 raised for The Fire Fighters Charity. This funding will make a meaningful difference in supporting firefighters and their families when they need it most.
The Fire Fighters Charity themselves congratulated Natalie on a "fantastic achievement," recognising the real commitment it takes to complete a challenge like this while raising vital funds.
Why it matters to us
At ORSA, supporting causes that align with our values has always been part of who we are. Fire safety is at the core of what we do every day, and standing behind the people who put themselves on the line to protect others is something we take seriously. Natalie's determination, resilience, and commitment to this cause reflect the spirit that drives our whole team. We could not be more proud of what she has accomplished.
